Merry Christmas, Everybody!

Hanukkah was way far from Christmas this year. I enjoy all fun holidays, because they’re fun!  This holiday was no exception – I had a chance to hang out with my friend Mac and we had an INCREDIBLE time – ate some yummy Christmas sushi and played a bunch of guitar. Mac’s an actual musician and I admire that talent. He’s also been a close friend for at least 16 years and it’s funny, we met at a mutual client and just began talking. It makes me wonder how many awesomely cool people are around us all the time that we may not notice if not in the state of mind to do so. In this case of course I’m glad I did. I have a very small circle of people like Mac who have been much more family to me than friends and I feel exceptionally blesssed.

Month of Super Greatness!

OK I realize now I have one month left to achieve total excellence. Yeah not too much pressure. I’ll admit, this daily accountability has really helped me to keep super focused. I think my ADD may be dropping by the wayside a little too – just increasingly aware that I have so much control over my life when I disallow others to step on this.

Been sad that one friendship I do greatly value may be toxic – my friend, every time we talk reminds me I’m unsuccessful in his mind for not taking his career path (not mentioning name but he is high up at DELL and more on my personal Darren Williger blog here) – and this isn’t something worth hearing from anyone I respect. It’s just disturbing when I share how happy I am that some people close to me tell me I’m on the wrong life path. Maybe I have the wrong friends. I am going to learn to disconnect from phones and other places I’m terrorized at some point soon.

Today is My Birthday, YEAH!

See what I put yesterday about feeling awesomely blessed? Well, every year close friends take me out for food and fun – this year was no exception, except the restaurant changed. Instead of the traditional burrito place, we went to an awesome tapas restaurant and I was sharing with Mac and Bayan about having a technical addiction, as I pull phone after phone and camera after camera out of my pockets – the table next to us, who was celebrating their drama therapy graduation sang this improvisational song for us. I think this is likely funniest for those there, but let me know what you think!
